Spring Has Finally Arrived
Written By: Michelle, The Green-Mother
Winters in Montreal are known to be cold, with a lot of snow. Huge snow banks can be found on almost every street corner. Neighbors stay indoors, and cars are parked inside garages. There is not much action to be seen in the winter around our neighborhood. Children and adults usually remain indoors, where warmth can be found. There are usually no signs of life on our street during these cold months.
After a long wait, spring has finally arrived in Montreal. What’s not to love about spring? It means flowers have started blooming, and the birds are chirping their happy tunes once again. Little flowers are even blooming on the trees. The smell of BBQ’s lingers in the air. The snow has melted, and the fresh out door smell has arrived. What more can we ask for? Windows are open, and winter coats have been stored away until next year. Boots have been stored in the garage, and hats and mittens have been put away.
What my boys love best about spring is playing outdoors. The bikes have come out, and the famous battery operated car gets put into use once again. The street is filled with the neighborhood children playing, and running around. The adults gather around, and catch up on news. It has been a long and dreary winter.
